Vendor Registration

Colorado uses Colorado BIDS and Vendor Self Service (VSS) for vendor registration and procurement. To do business with the state, you must register as a vendor through their portal.

What You Will Need to Register

  • FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) — your business tax ID. Learn more about FEIN/EIN
  • UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) — obtained through SAM.gov. Learn more about UEI
  • CAGE Code — assigned when you register in SAM.gov. Learn more about CAGE codes
  • Business legal name, address, phone, email, and authorized contacts
  • Commodity/service codes — used to match your business with relevant bid opportunities

Small Business & Minority Programs

Colorado offers programs to assist small, minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses in competing for government contracts.

Additional Information

Registration is free and typically takes 30-60 minutes. Approval takes 1-5 business days. Required: W-9, business license, proof of insurance, bank info for ACH, and NAICS codes.
