Vendor Registration
Texas uses TxSmartBuy and CMBL for vendor registration and procurement. To do business with the state, you must register as a vendor through their portal.

Finding Bid Opportunities
Active solicitations, RFPs, and bid opportunities are posted on the state’s eProcurement platform:
- Texas eProcurement / Bid Portal — browse and respond to current solicitations
What You Will Need to Register
- FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) — your business tax ID. Learn more about FEIN/EIN
- UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) — obtained through SAM.gov. Learn more about UEI
- CAGE Code — assigned when you register in SAM.gov. Learn more about CAGE codes
- Business legal name, address, phone, email, and authorized contacts
- Commodity/service codes — used to match your business with relevant bid opportunities
Small Business & Minority Programs
Texas offers programs to assist small, minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses in competing for government contracts.
Additional Information
Texas uses TxSmartBuy for purchasing and the ESBD (Electronic State Business Daily) for bid postings. The HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) program supports diverse businesses.
